The fourth-annual Open Streets is approaching soon in south OKC. It is a free local health and wellness project sponsored by the Oklahoma City-County Health Department’s Wellness Now coalition, Oklahoma’s Credit Union and the Substance Use Prevention Alliance.
On Sunday, Oct. 7, from 1-5 p.m., South Robinson will be closed to motorized traffic from SW 29th to SW 15th Street to encourage active transportation such as biking, walking, skating or dancing which promotes healthier residents. More than 30 partner agencies will provide fun physical activities and there will be 14 healthy food trucks. Pets are allowed.
