by The 100 Companies

The U.S. Army awarded Guernsey the Award of Excellence coin for studies conducted for Fort Wainwright and Fort Greely in Alaska.

Guernsey’s facility energy systems review recommendations could produce a cost avoidance of more than $3 billion over the next 40 years. The recommendations would ensure secure, resilient mission energy while also reducing carbon footprints.

The U.S. Army has been exploring ways to enhance its energy efficiency and resilience, releasing the Army’s Climate Strategy initiative and unveiling its Climate Strategy Implementation Plan in 2022 to respond to climate threats affecting installation and unit sustainability, mission readiness and resilience.
