The three grandsons of Fred Jones celebrated the family-owned company’s 100th anniversary by unveiling a larger-than-life statue of him across from the original site of the Fred Jones Ford assembly plant. Hall Capital CEO Fred Hall, along with his brothers CFO Kirk and EVP Boots, remain in the automotive business and still distribute Ford and Chrysler parts.
Jones was the first person listed who “punched the clock” when the plant opened. It was one of 24 built by Ford Motor Co. to accommodate the expansion of Model T vehicles, and grew to become the largest Ford remanufacturing plant.
