Girls Scouts visit the Oklahoma State Capitol

by The 100 Companies

More than 200 Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma recently visited the Oklahoma State Capitol to learn from women in public service and tour the beautiful building. The young girls performed activities to earn badges, wrote letters and also participated in a social media session.

Additionally, they heard from a panel of women in public service on what inspired them. Panelists included Senator Brenda Stanley, Judge Natalie Mai, City Councilwoman Nikki Nice and Carol Hefner, who serves as vice chair of the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women.

Of course, everyone received a box of their favorite Girl Scout cookie.
