As Oklahoma’s first female Governor and Lt. Governor, Mary Fallin, was also the first state representative to author Oklahoma’s first anti-stalking bill.
Representing Oklahoma City’s 85th district in the House of Representatives, she won passage of a bill that supported Women’s Business Administration with more funding and research.
In 1995, she won the Lt. Governor race, and in 2007 became the first woman elected to represent Oklahoma’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress.
She became Governor Fallin in 2011 and saw many of her legislative priorities signed into law during her first session. A lady of many Oklahoma firsts.
