During a Rotary OKC event, I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Oklahoma Ashleigh Robinson.
Ashleigh’s younger sister inspired her to pursue the pageant world to have a platform to advocate for opportunities in college education, employment and social engagement for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
She gave a shoutout to Not Your Average Joe, a coffee shop that focuses on hiring adults with disabilities and also employs her sister as a model for more companies to hire people with disabilities. Ashleigh will continue to champion a more inclusive environment that helps all able Oklahomans have educational, employment and social opportunities.
