Only 30 minutes apart, Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in Clinton and the National Route 66 Museum in Elk City.

From aerospace, motorcycles and transportation to art, military and history, Oklahoma’s journey along Route 66 boasts 19 museums that showcase the route’s historic Americana.

They are all worth stopping in to see while driving the nation’s first all-weather highway. You will enjoy glimpses of many unusual sites, such as the recently restored Blue Whale of Catoosa. Fill up on a full tank of American Mother Road history at these three of the 19 museums:
