Cowboy preserving Western heritage

by The 100 Companies

A passion of Ken Miller, of Boise City, is preserving Western heritage. As a hobby, he restores and builds replicas of transportation that traveled No Man’s Land during the late 1800s.

From an original Wells Fargo blueprint, he crafted the uniquely curved foot rest for a replica of an 1886 Wells Fargo Stagecoach that carried U.S. mail. His Carriage House private collection includes covered wagons, a chuckwagon, a horse-drawn hearse, a town doctor’s buggy and a fire wagon. An original mail pouch numbered #62 and a strong box that protected cash on the long journeys are part of his collection.
