Get ready for a day full of rich American Indian culture and heritage. Join the Greater Tulsa Area Indian Affairs Commission in its Virtual Native American Day Celebration on Monday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This year’s theme for the City of Tulsa’s Native American Day Celebration is “Rise to Resilience.” In September 2017, at the request of the Greater Tulsa Indian Affairs Commission, Tulsa renamed Columbus Day to Native American Day to honor and commemorate the history of indigenous people.
