Lieutenant governor leads state branding effort

What’s in a state’s brand? It’s so important that Gov. Kevin Stitt named Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell as the state’s first secretary of tourism and branding, to change national perceptions and help with the goal of making Oklahoma a top 10 state.

Pinnell recently assembled over 150 Oklahoma marketing experts to voluntarily work with him on developing a long-lasting brand that authentically represents the state’s diversity in culture, business, people and geography. This innovative approach of assembling a large number of marketing volunteers to brand a state is the first in the nation – by Oklahomans for Oklahoma. Stay tuned.
