3 new exhibits feature works by First American artists

A new exhibit, “Purpose and Pattern,” at Exhibit C Gallery in Bricktown features the work of five First American artists representing Cherokee, Chickasaw and Navajo nations. It focuses on the combination of tradition, culture and self-expression through examples of pattern in art.

The five artists are Jennifer Berg, Michael Dart, Tara Largo, Lisa Rutherford and Mary Wilds.

Also on display are the works of Alicia Saltina Marie Clark at the Chickasaw Visitor Center in Sulphur and Dylan Cavin at the Chickasaw Nation Welcome Center in Davis.

All three exhibits run through Friday, June 30 and all art is for sale.
