Revisit the Old West on the Chisholm Trail

by The 100 Companies

Once a cattle trail for Texas ranchers to move their beef to the north, the Chisholm Trail in Oklahoma still has plenty of attractions for modern-day travelers looking to learn about its history.

These include the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center in Duncan as well as a Western-themed playground in Marlow called Redbud Park. In Yukon, check out the Express Clydesdale Ranch, where you can learn about the history of the cattle drives in exhibits housed in an Amish-built barn from 1936.

The Chisholm Trail Museum & Governor Seay Mansion in Kingfisher includes a frontier village with a church, bank and log cabin.
