UCO Downtown to Make Learning Magical

UCO Downtown will soon be home to Hogwarts.

John Granger, an internationally recognized expert on J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” saga, will teach a course on the series. The class, “The Artistry of J.K. Rowling,” will cover the literary alchemy, cratylic names, Christian content and cross-referencing in Rowling’s books.

Granger has authored six books and teaches online courses. He’s a regular contributor to “Harry Potter” fan sites and blogs.

“I’m looking forward, though, to live exchanges face-to-face with students again,” Granger said. “There’s nothing like that kind of give-and-take for the exploration of ideas.”
