Building Oklahoma’s future: AOGC uses virtual reality to inspire next-gen construction leaders

by The 100 Companies

The Association of Oklahoma General Contractors (AOGC) continued its statewide initiative on Sept. 12 by bringing virtual reality to Western Heights High School’s Construction Club.

Throughout the year, AOGC travels across Oklahoma to introduce students to the bridge and road construction industry, using innovative technology, like VR, to spark interest in construction careers.

At Western Heights, students immersed themselves in a digital world, learning to operate heavy equipment through VR. This hands-on experience is part of AOGC’s mission to develop Oklahoma’s future workforce by equipping young people with the skills needed to succeed in the bridge and road construction industry.
