Eight years ago, Feeding Oklahoma Drive took shape as part of Gov. Mary Fallin’s inaugural celebration. The final effort launches Oct. 1, benefiting the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
Through the years, over 7.1 million pounds of food and $2.4 million have been raised, providing over 18 million meals to hungry Oklahomans. Still, 1 in 4 children struggle with hunger.
