Rose State College’s technical training program is the first of its kind in Oklahoma to offer Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ)-approved water and wastewater training courses online.
The program is conducting certification and training courses held on the Zoom videoconferencing platform, enhancing the program’s accessibility across Oklahoma. Nearly 600 entities have participated including state agencies, municipalities, schools, corporations, contractors, military bases, tribes and more.
Professionals who handle or change water are required to hold water and wastewater operator licenses. Operators are required to complete four hours of continuing education each year to renew their licenses.
