Oklahoma K-pop star AleXa wins ‘American Song Contest’

Tulsa native K-pop star, AleXa was recently named the winner of American Song Contest.

The former Jenks cheerleader became a K-pop sensation when her song “Wonderland” took the world by storm. After competing in two major song competitions, she entered the new voice competition.

The contest, hosted by Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg, had 56 contestants competing for the title. AleXa sealed the win by capturing 656 votes, with her closest competitor landing 503 points total.

On top of her big win, her finale song got over 2 million views, then later made an appearance at the Billboard Music Awards.
