by The 100 Companies

It may not be easy being green, but when it comes to total public and private green area per capita, Oklahoma ranks #3 out of 100 major cities in the U.S.

Lawn Love ranked 100 cities to determine which had the most amount of green space by looking at the number of parks, total acreage and average yard size.

Oklahoma City has 45 parks and green spaces, coming in 20th in the rankings for total park acreage. Eighty-three percent of that land is used for parks and recreation.

Only Lexington, Kentucky, and Chesapeake, Virginia, had more green space per capita.
