The first week of summer has begun and questions linger about the status of football. Will there be a season, and if so, what precautions will be put into place?
The high school season is set to return the last Friday of August. On the collegiate level, one can expect football to proceed as normal, as in-person classes are expected to take place on campus in the fall.
Players could have new safety protocols and for fans, the stands may look different. In fact, in 1918 people wore masks to the games in order to cheer on their favorite teams!
