Though Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett didn’t always see a future in politics for himself, he eventually realized serving as an elected official was a hands-on way to improve his community.
Following his former governor and U.S. senator father’s advice to “get out into the field,” Bartlett recently visited the Tulsa Air National Guard base and went behind the scenes with the talented pilots transitioning from the F-16 fighter jet to the F-35.
But before they said goodbye, they took Bartlett 15,000 feet high during what he describes as “the most incredible ride of his life.”
