Oklahoma is nation’s 3rd fastest bounce-back economy

In a recent study done by WalletHub, Oklahoma ranks as the No. 3 fastest bounce-back economy in the nation.

According to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, in July 2021, five of Oklahoma’s supersectors added jobs. Leisure and hospitality posted the largest monthly gain of 1,600 jobs, followed by education and health services with 1,300 added jobs. The aviation and aerospace industry also had a significant economic impact, with more than 6,600 jobs added since 2015.

Oklahoma’s unemployment rate is currently at 2.3%, which is impressive compared to 2020’s 4.5% unemployment rate.
