Here’s a simple gourmet dish to make at home for your valentine.
Preheat oven to 400° and season lamb with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in medium sauté pan and sear. Next, brush lamb with pomegranate molasses and press chopped pecans on the meat. Roast in oven about 20 minutes to medium rare. While roasting, prepare sauce in original sauté pan. Over low heat, stir together vinegar, sugar and pomegranate molasses. Allow to simmer and reduce by 1/3.
After lamb is done, let rest for 10 minutes. Served here with sautéed Swiss chard and pomegranate Molasses Gastrique.
Ring in 2017 at home with a few friends instead of going out. Here are some ideas of what to serve your guests: sweet and savory mixed nuts, artichoke and white bean dip and marinated goat cheese. Yum!
Pair these appetizers with the Can Do Kitchen’s French 75, one inspired by NoMi’s. Don’t forget about something sweet and festive by making coconut cranberry chess pie. When your friends offer to bring something, tell them to bring Champagne to pop open at midnight.
Pull out your favorite board games and you’re set for a fun New Year’s Eve celebration at home.

2. Perfect Potstickers: These pork-filled dumplings with wonton wrappers are an alternative to the classic pigs in a blanket.
