With the passage of Senate Bill 915 in 2019, REALTORS® across the state had no idea how relevant a particular digital tool would become a few months later, with the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, remote online notarization offers a safe and secure option to conduct closings and other real estate functions online, as notaries can now provide services through audio-video calls. This digital tool is one factor which continues to drive homeownership in Oklahoma forward.

More information about remote online notarizations can be found with the government entity regulating notaries, the Oklahoma Secretary of State.
