What are REALTORS® doing to promote Fair Housing?

by The 100 Companies

In 1968, the United States Congress passed the Fair Housing Act prohibiting discrimination concerning the sale, rental and financing of housing based on race, religion, national origin, sex, disability and households with children.

Every April, REALTORS® celebrate this landmark legislation during Fair Housing Month. Understanding the importance of equal opportunity for all residents to access real estate, the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS® (OAR) challenges REALTORS® to take the Fair Housing Challenge: Stand Up for Racial Equity to increase knowledge and awareness of subtleties in fair housing laws.
