In December 2017, Congress passed a rewrite of the American tax code. Based on simplicity, efficiency, equability and predictability, changes to this federal tax law reveal a positive impact on Oklahomans.

Tulsa American Airlines employees received a $1,000 bonus, OKC Express Employment Personnel employees received a $2,000 bonus and Walmart, which has 33,335 employees in the state, will increase the starting wage and enhance employee benefits.

According to the nonpartisan Tax Foundation, the new tax law will increase the U.S. gross domestic product by an average of 0.29 percent per year over the next decade.
