Life below the ocean’s surface seems a little far-fetched for most of us, but for sailors deployed aboard Oklahoma City’s namesake ship, the USS Oklahoma City (SSN 723), it’s everyday life.
The USS Oklahoma City is a Los Angeles-class fast-attack U.S. Navy submarine. It is one of four forward-deployed submarines based out of Polaris Point, Naval Base Guam. For sailors aboard this submarine, days are filled with routine operations and fearlessly ensuring the safety of all Americans, domestically and internationally.
