Citizen Potawatomi Nation (CPN) has announced a new Lease Purchase Program to help Native Americans become homeowners. This program will create a path for eligible, federally recognized tribal citizens to get into a house sooner.

The Lease Purchase Program teaches homeownership skills by helping tenants meet a series of responsibilities over the course of the three-year agreement. Income proof and ongoing financial education courses are two main program requirements, while residents will largely be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of their properties.

To learn more about qualifications and restrictions, contact the CPN Housing Department at (800) 880-9880, or visit cpn.news/housing.
