Netflix launched a new series just in time for people to kick off their New Year’s resolutions. For some, a new year means “Tidying Up.” Marie Kondo welcomes eight couples to the Japanese way of decluttering that is based on her best-selling book “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.

The launch of the series has encouraged millions of people to “spark joy” and declutter their homes, igniting a rise in donations to thrift stores.

Kondo inspires everyone to appreciate items that bring joy rather than feel restricted by the unwanted items that consume negative space in their homes.
