Lieutenant governor’s annual quail hunt

quail hunters

A large covey of devoted bird hunters, along with skilled guides and anxious dogs who generously donated their time, recently assembled at the Castle Grocery store in eastern Oklahoma for the lieutenant governor’s second annual quail hunt.

Participants traveled from all over the state to join the hunt, with a few guides driving from as far away as Mississippi and Alabama, to demonstrate the prowess of their dogs. Few activities compare to the joy of experiencing man’s best friend tirelessly assisting him in achieving hunting success.

Thanks, LG, for showcasing what this state has to offer in Oklahoma’s great outdoors.
