Congress hears state’s strong economic stats

by

There was plenty of good news to share with the U.S. House Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access, from Oklahoma’s low unemployment dropping to 3.7%, to OKC hitting a 10-year employment high and average weekly wages rising 1% in first quarter 2018.

Testifying on behalf of Women Impacting Public Policy, a nonpartisan group that advocates for women entrepreneurs in DC, I praised local impact of the new tax reform bill and rollback of regulations, especially in the energy and financial sectors. The hearing recording and written testimony can be accessed at Barwick Testimony.
