Since 2001, runners from around the world have been gathering every April to honor the 168 victims killed in the 1995 bombing by participating in the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. Also known as the Run to Remember, the marathon was voted one of the “12 must-run marathons” in the world by Runner’s World magazine.
During the 26.2 miles, runners travel through Oklahoma City’s historic neighborhoods and pass 168 banners — each bearing the name of one of those who were killed.
This year, the marathon takes place on Sunday, April 29. You can register online by visiting okcmarathon.com.
