Oklahoma native Weston Waugh was recently recognized as a finalist for the American Institute of Architects Film Challenge. His film was submitted alongside more than 70 others and was named the grand prize winner. He attended Chicago Ideas, where his film was screened to attendees.

The challenge invited architects and filmmakers to collaborate to share stories of architects and civic leaders working together to create resilient and sustainable communities.

Weston’s video features the northeast side of Oklahoma City’s EastPoint Project, which has seen a lack of investment as a result of redlining and segregation that dates as far back as 1915.
