deadCenter Film Festival 2016

by

The deadCenter Film Festival was founded in 2001 by Justan and Jayson Floyd after hosting a one-night screening of films made by Oklahoma filmmakers. Their mother provided hot dogs and snacks for the mere 50 fans in attendance.

Since its inception, deadCenter has been named one of the “20 Coolest Film Festivals in the World” by MovieMaker magazine. deadCenter has developed into an international festival with over 1,400 films from around the world, although the heart of the festival remains the Oklahoma films.

Last year’s festival attracted 30,000 attendees with an economic impact of $4.5 million.
