J.D. Robinson, a former student at Rose State College from Tulsa, will compete on season 41 of “Survivor.” The new season premiered on Sept. 22 on CBS.

Robinson grew up watching “Survivor” with his family and always dreamt of being on the show.

“‘Survivor’ was always there for me and it was always a part of who I was,” Robinson said.

While taking classes at Rose State, Robinson filmed part of his audition tape on campus. Robinson said winning the million-dollar “Survivor” prize would mean the world to him because he could help his family, especially his younger siblings.
