Edmond teen wins national championship

by The 100 Companies

Jude Flurry, a local Edmond teen, won first place at the U.S. National Irish Dance Championship in July.

Dancers that compete must qualify at their regional Oireachtas or be in open championships. Unlike other competitions, this event is open to dancers from all over the world, making it even more competitive.

Flurry started dancing when he was six years old. He has won multiple championships and was the lead dancer of Celtic Throne, one of the largest Armstrong Auditorium productions to date.

Oklahoma not only has talented singers and actors. Add talented Irish dancers to the list as well!
