Watch kids compete in a mutton bustin’, enjoy an African Street Fest and step back to 1569 England with these events:

• Will Rogers Stampede in Claremore, May 25-28. In its 77th year, the stampede features barrel racing, steer wrestling, bareback riding and team roping.

• Black Wall Street Legacy Festival, May 26-28. A series of free events commemorates the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and includes an African Street Fest, Black Wall Street Block Party and musical performances.

• 27th Annual Oklahoma Renaissance Festival in Muskogee, Saturdays and Sundays through June 4. Enjoy festive food, birds of prey exhibitions, jousting tournaments and acrobat shows.
