Many veterans don’t realize the benefits they’ve earned or how to get them. When two benefits officers went to veterans rather than having the veterans come to them, the response was unbelievable.
With their mobile office, Myles Hunt and Vic St. Clair help veterans sign up for programs to meet their needs. Nearly $4 million in benefits was provided to 274 Tulsa-area veterans who filed successful claims last year.
“If we had this kind of response to our benefits office, you can imagine there’s a great need for this out there,” said Hunt, one of the two benefits officers.
