Fair Miles Oklahoma looks for funding fix for state’s roads and bridges

by The 100 Companies

Fair Miles Oklahoma, a state research program, is seeking participants for a pilot pay-per-mile program to explore alternative funding options for Oklahoma’s transportation infrastructure. With fuel efficiency reducing fuel tax funds, the program aims to identify potential revenue streams while promoting fairness and sustainability.

The pilot will include 500 participants who will report their monthly mileage for six months starting in June 2023. Participants will complete surveys and receive $50 in gift cards.

The results will guide the state on future funding for transportation infrastructure maintenance and improvements.
