The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA) is leading the Oklahoma Governor’s Challenge, an effort to reduce and eliminate suicide for Oklahoma’s service members, veterans and their families. The challenge is a national collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

On Nov. 15-16, ODVA is hosting the Oklahoma Governor’s Symposium for Veteran Services at the Norman Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC). The symposium will feature speakers discussing topics such as suicide prevention, lethal means safety and crisis care and management.
