The 2020 Oscar nominees include many A-list Hollywood celebrities and a handful of talented newcomers, but the buzz around the nominations focuses on who isn’t included rather than who is.
A number of fan-favorite actors were left off the list including Eddie Murphy for the Netflix hit “Dolemite Is My Name,” Adam Sandler for “Uncut Gems” and Jennifer Lopez for the drama “Hustlers.” Conversely, Joaquin Phoenix’s “Joker” leads all movies with 11 nominations, the most ever for a comic book movie.
