The ground is thawing and getting greener, which means it’s almost springtime in Oklahoma. Celebrate the warmer weather by checking out these two Oklahoma festivals, coming in April:
• Azalea Festival — Tourists come from across the country to view almost 30,000 blooming azaleas in Muskogee’s Honor Heights Park. There is food, entertainment and arts and crafts throughout the month of April.
• Dogwood Days — Blooming dogwood trees in Idabel make this beautiful festival the epitome of spring. This festival, set in historic downtown Idabel, features a country dance contest, a barbecue cook-off and more events in celebration of the season.
