Prep ahead
The best way to ensure you’re not bombarded with a heavy workload after vacation is to prepare before vacation. Create a list of your projects, including current status, due date and what team member is expected to support the project while you’re away, and give your team access to the document.
Get a status update
Before you leave, schedule an email to your team one day ahead of your return asking what the current status of each of your projects are. This allows you to review where to pick up first thing on the morning of your return.
