drones to fight Covid-19

Many colleges and universities are working hard to combat the COVID-19 virus to keep campuses safe and clean for students. For Rose State College, the solution is to take flight to fight the airborne virus in its own element.

In collaboration with TDRS, Rose State College employed a pioneering application of drone technology to spray disinfectant throughout its new Student Union ahead of the building’s grand opening. The entire building was sterilized using a specially-equipped drone capable of disinfecting 3,500 square feet in as little as three or four minutes, providing another layer of safety to students, faculty and staff.
