The gig economy steadily increases as younger generations search for flexible jobs that do not necessarily require sitting at a desk from 9 to 5, especially as predictions say “pop-up” account teams may become the norm and flextime as a “perk” will become obsolete.
If the need for a flexible work environment is not addressed, industries with technology-enabled work will create a larger talent gap that will be difficult to fill.
