Continuing OKC’s renaissance

MAPS 4

Now that the mayor and council have called for the next MAPS election, groups are gathering for the details. On Sept. 24, I spoke to the Oklahoma Bankers Association about the history of MAPS and how MAPS 4 could continue Oklahoma City’s renaissance.

More than any previous MAPS initiative, this program reaches into neighborhoods across the city to address local parks and infrastructure. There’s also money allocated for job creation, social services and special event venues. When I mentioned that no city has come as far – as fast as Oklahoma City, everyone agreed. The MAPS 4 election is Dec. 10.
