Core to Shore Makes Progress

The Core to Shore Reinvestment Area is divided into six Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts with the intent of creating a series of active, high density and high quality mixed-use urban districts.

Oklahoma City’s Core to Shore plan will soon begin making a real, tangible impact on the downtown area.

Using a multitude of resources and studies for support, the city and The Alliance for Economic Development of OKC are now focused on implementation. Recent progress in the form of a city council-approved Core to Shore Reinvestment Area is now transitioning to negotiations with landowners and developers.

A policy guide outlines the goals and objectives of TIF districts in the reinvestment area, and details how assistance in development financing may be provided to assist private, tax-generating real estate development projects.
