J.D. Strong Takes over at Wildlife

by

October 17th J.D. Strong, former Secretary of the Environment and Executive Director of the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, became the new Director of the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.

“It was a tough decision to leave the OWRB — I love the people and mission — but my degree and passion are fish and wildlife, and it’s rare to get to stay in public service and get to do something you are passionate about,” said Strong.

Oklahoma is more diverse in its ecosystems than any other state and Strong wants to help the public, particularly young people, enjoy our great outdoors.
